In 1949, a group of young enthusiastic Croatian women armed with their faith and deep affection for Mary, organized the Ave Maria Society.  The Society would foster devotion to the Blessed Mother, pray for the sick of the parish and sponsor a function each year for the benefit of the school and parish.  In recent years, the fish barbecue and raffle have become the prime functions.

Our members work together, pray together and respect and enjoy each others’ presence.  Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month in the Parish Center and are open to all women.  We are proud of the many donations made over the years to our school and church, especially to the Evelyn Medak scholarships and for the statue of Our Lady of Grace in our church.
