Holy Trinity Outreach was started in late 1998. Our sole purpose is to provide food for people in our area who are in need. This is done every week, and is made possible by approximately 250 parish volunteers’ ages 3-85. Our program is highly effective and efficient, serving about 60 families requiring only 30-45 minutes per month from volunteers.

The "Outreach Food Program" is in integral part of a ministry of broader scope and great heart--Holy Trinity Christian Service, which has served families in need in our community for over 25 years. When this "need" involves food, that's where Outreach comes in. Christian Service provides the names of families in need, and Outreach volunteers pack and deliver food for needy families on a bi-monthly basis. Monthly collections of non-perishable food from Holy Trinity parishioners are supplemented by purchases of perishable items such as meat, cheese, vegetables, fruit, etc.
Outreach is more than a food delivery service. Volunteer packers and drivers are the heart and soul behind this ministry. They are the personal touch of Christ entering into the homes of others. When Outreach volunteers provide food to families, they often serve as the only link between Holy Trinity parish and our families in need.
Drivers often "extend their duty" a few minutes beyond the norm and take time to ask families how they're doing and what they may need. As they share, drivers are present to them for a few moments to listen. If they voice needs beyond what the Outreach ministry provides by way of food, they can be referred to Christian Service. This ministry truly represents the "hands of Christ" in our community.
Your monetary donations will continue to enable the Outreach ministry to provide high quality perishable foods to families in need.
Thank you for your ongoing support. May God bless you in this Holy Season!
Sincerely,
Outreach Food Program
