Small Church Communities have been springing up in every continent and are a way of experiencing Church much like Christians did in the early Church, in small faith sharing groups. The number of small church communities in our country is growing and has a powerful effect on integrating faith into everyday life. They are a place where ordinary people can gather together on a regular basis to help each other relate everyday life to Scripture, Church tradition and prayer. Those who gather together discuss their concerns, beliefs, faith questions, concerns and joys, and benefit from experiences, friendships and caring of their Small Church Community members. Together, they break open the Word of God, enrich one another’s lives and come to a fuller experience and understanding of our Christianity and Church.
Holy Trinity initiated the Small Church Community Ministry in 1990. Our beginning program “Come as you are” helps members get to know each other and fit into their group. Their own experiences are their contributions and are all that is expected. Small Church Communities result in a richer faith life and more active involvement in the total parish life of worship and service. Groups meet weekly or bi-weekly in homes on various days and at various times during the day and evening. If you are interested in participating a Small Church Community, or if you have questions, we welcome your call.
